Star Trek Trivia, or Easter Egg Hunt: Around 1979 a movie called "1941" came out. It was a spoof on the Japanese sub attack on Los Angeles. Steven Spielberg directed it. SO: The Star Trek: The Next Generation starship USS Bozeman takes its hull number of NCC-1941 from the film, as modelmaker Greg Jein worked on both productions.

:-) Kimberly A. Taylor replies: "mmm, interesting that. i have a new picture waiting to be published of the enterprise, but it seems to be taking alot longer than when uploading something in sci-fi & F section, just in case you were wondering why i haven’t uploaded any more yet."

I’ll look forward to it. Maybe there’s a bigger backlog than usual.

Bravo very good. I grew up on Star Trek. I have been known to wear shirts saying beam me up scotty on them. That is truly excelent work. I have wrote fan fiction but they are of speces we know from star trek but not any of the main charicters. Like your work real well. 18

:-) Kimberly A. Taylor replies: "hey thanks, that novel sounds interesting, btw"

Did you know that: (From Wikipedia)

Three novels authored by William Shatner with Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens which are set after the events of Star Trek Generations propose that the mechanical race that V’ger encounters are in fact the Borg, a society of cyborgs that feature prominently in Star Trek: The Next Generation and later series and films. These novels, however, have not been acknowledged by Paramount as canon, and according to series canon it is unlikely that the Borg would have been responsible for the creation of V’ger.

In contrast to Shatner’s novels, the game Star Trek: Legacy states that the origin of the Borg is in fact V’ger, which created them to further its goal of the assimilation of knowledge.

It should be of interest that at one point in the film, Spock makes the remark, "Any show of resistance would be futile, Captain."

The original Star Trek Encyclopedia states that Gene Roddenberry intended the "planet of living machines" that V’ger encountered on its journey to be, in fact, the Borg homeworld.[citation needed]

The comment -reply system doesn’t seem to be working-i post my reply here; ah yes, i know of the novels you speak of; i’ve in fact read some of them, still need to read ’preserver’ though when i get round to it. mmm, yeah i too would agree that it’s unlilkely the Borg created V’ger - i’m thinking back to in star trek first contact the borg queen said that they were once organic-so it seems unlikely.
